Hurricane Drink is a cocktail with a hurricane of flavor. This drink comprises three main ingredients: dark rum, light rum, and passion fruit syrup.
It has a very fruity taste, and it looks beautiful in the glass with contrasting colors. They can be served on ice or without ice, depending on your preference.
Mix all ingredients except grenadine and orange bitters in a hurricane glass filled with ice.
Float the grenadine on top by pouring it over the back of a spoon, then stir gently to mix colors.
Garnish with an orange half-wheel or preserved cherry.
Recipe Note
Hurricane Drink was created in the early 1940s at Pat O'Brien's bar in New Orleans. Since then, it has been packing quite an impact with its double serving of rum mixed with other ingredients such as fruit juice or syrup.
