  1. Fill an old fashioned glass with ice cubes.
  2. Measure the coconut rum, pineapple juice, and cranberry cocktail with a jigger and pour them into the glass.
  3. Garnish with an orange slice. You can also use a maraschino cherry or a lemon wedge. Enjoy!

The Sea Breeze is one of the cocktails that is known for its cranberry juice component. It was said to be invented in the ‘80s when it was only made with three ingredients but some stories say that the original version was invented in the 1920s and it had more versions after this and their ingredients were different from their previous version as time went on. 

Ingredients:

  1. Fill a tumbler glass with ice cubes.
  2. Measure the vodka, cranberry juice, and grapefruit juice with a jigger and pour them into the glass. 
  3. Garnish with a grapefruit slice.

Bay Breeze

The Bay Breeze is another delightful tropical drink with Hawaiian origins. It is just like the Malibu Bay Breeze but it uses vodka instead of coconut rum. It is sometimes called the Downeaster, Paul Joseph, or Hawaiian Bay Breeze. 

Ingredients:

  1. Fill a highball glass with ice cubes. 
  2. Measure the vodka, pineapple juice, and cranberry juice with a jigger and pour them into the glass. 
  3. Give it a stir with a bar spoon. 

Tropical Rum Punch 


The ultimate tropical beverage perfect on a hot sunny day that you can also share with your friends at a party.  

Ingredients:

  • 6 cups Bacardi Limon White rum
  • 4 cups Minute Maid Lemonade
  • Assorted fruits (mango, pineapple, blueberries, strawberries)
  • Lemon slices and blueberries (for garnish)
  • Ice cubes

Steps to Make:

  1. Cut up the fruits, except the blueberries, into average slices, and put them in a punch dispenser
  2. Add the white rum into the dispenser and then the lemonade.  
  3. Muddle the blueberries slightly and add them to the mixture.  
  4. Garnish with lemon slices and whole blueberries. 
  5. Only add ice cubes in separate glasses and then dispense the punch. Putting ice cubes in the punch dispenser only dilutes it and ruins the flavors. 

Madras Cocktail 


This is like the Bay Breeze but has orange juice in place of the pineapple juice so it still tastes like a refreshing tropical drink. If you replace the vodka with white rum, it’s called a White Madras and when you use tequila, it will be called a Mexican Madras.

  • 1 oz. Mr. Stacks Peach Schnapps
  • Lakewood Cranberry juice (to top)

On the other hand, both Bay Breeze and Sea Breeze make use of vodka and also cranberry juice but the former uses grapefruit juice and the latter uses pineapple juice. 

    How much alcohol content is in a Malibu Bay Breeze?

    The only alcoholic component in a Malibu Bay Breeze is the coconut rum and Malibu coconut rum has an alcohol content by volume of 21% (42 proof). The recipe only calls for 2 ounces of coconut rum so one drink will not easily get you drunk.
