Directions

For the shrub syrup:

1. Stir the blackberries, sugar, and red wine vinegar in a small saucepan in medium heat until the sugar dissolves.

2. Remove from heat, add a grip of mint, and steep for 15 minutes.
3. Strain into a small bottle or jar and set aside.

For the cocktail:

1. Add the whiskey, lemon juice, and shrub syrup to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well.

2. Strain into a rocks glass filled with ice.

3. Top with a float of red wine.

4. Garnish with more blackberries if you like. Serve.
