The Sidecar is a cocktail that is made with three ingredients: cognac, orange liqueur, and lemon juice. It's easy to make in large batches for parties or smaller batches for everyday drinking. This concoction has been popular ever since it was introduced into the market because of its refreshing taste, small size, and low alcohol content.
Shake until chilled and then strain into a sugar-rimmed glass. Garnish your sidecar drink with an orange twist, if desired
Recipe Note
The Sidecar cocktail is said to have been invented around World War I. It was first mentioned in the pages of two books— Harry MacElhone's ABC Of Mixing Cocktails (1922) and Robert Vermeire’s cocktails book "Cocktail And How To Mix Them."
