Many students believe that a college is a place of limitless homework, research, and dissertations. However, not all of them load students with writing assignments but allow them to unwind at parties in honor of Halloween, New Year, or any other holiday.

For example, colleges prepare signature drinks, candy bars, buffets, and contests. If you manage to visit any other state on the Student Exchange program, be sure to try their signature cocktails!

Highlands College is renowned for its soccer games and signature drink, preparing specifically for the event. Football teams treat their fans with a Yellowhammer cocktail - this drink was named after the bright yellow state bird.

The history of the creation of this drink is simple: one of the guests relaxing at the posh Arizona Biltmore Hotel in Phoenix and asked the bartender Gene Sulit to make an unusual cocktail, which he had never met before. Sulit created a signature drink called Tequila Sunrise. For a long time, the author kept the cocktail recipe secret.

However, curious Prescott College students pursuing vivid sensations by mixing different ingredients came up with the desired result.

The cocktail consists of a concoction of crème de cassis, tequila, lime, and soda water. The heaviest element, crème de cassis, sinks to the bottom of the glass. Lighter components rise to the top and create a sunrise effect.

During the holidays today, students use grenadine instead of original cassis and orange juice instead of lime, but the taste is delicious.
