This Black Devil Martini is the most festive-looking of all. But don't let its colorful sugar rim fool you. A classic, simple rum and vermouth base is underneath that tasty exterior, perfect for any night out on the town!
Place the sugar in a small zip-top bag. Add a few drops of orange food coloring or a few drops of combined red and yellow food coloring to the sugar.
Close the bag and shake vigorously to distribute the color. Spread the colored sugar out onto a plate. Run the lime wedge around the edge of each martini glass and dip it onto the plate with the colored sugar.
Add the dark rum and dry vermouth to each glass. Garnish with several blackberries, serve and enjoy!
Recipe Note
The darker the rum you use, the darker the color of the cocktail will be. Since Halloween only happens once a year, you might as well make it as black as you can.
