A 45-oz can should last me for quite a while - price is half of the competing brands. Out of the can, the cherry flavor is intense and the taste is a bit sharp, but the sharpness vanishes when the cherries are put into a drink or stirred into yogurt. Syrup is high in sugar and medium-thick; cherries are firm enough for cocktails and baking into pastries, but for a pie the syrup would have to be drained away.
