I ordered this product at the beginning of January, I really enjoyed and figured I’d order two only problem was twice the shipments were labeled undeliverable so I never received them. Very dissatisfied.
Very Good
Surprised at the complexity of this beverage. Uncapping, there's a waft of floral scent in an inviting way. At first, the sip is light and fruity. Then while swallowing, a pleasant peppery burn that one hopes for in a spicy rum. If the bite is not your speed, just roll it around a few extra times in your mouth before going down the hatch. I'd tried this with Coke, but the layers tend to get lost. On the rocks works if the bottle is at room temperature, but find it best chilled and neat. …Good sized bottle, but only lasted two weeks in my fridge, a testimony to my return visits.
Firstly, I got my bottle for $15 at Marshall's, and it is worth every penny of $15. (I went back and picked up a second bottle for that price). Opening the bottle, I was pleasantly surprised at the rummy aroma. I poured some neat to get a taste (same as I do for any new to me spirit) and was disappointed. It tasted like watered down aloe juice.I decided to try it in the most basic of rum drinks, a classic daiquiri, and was impressed, it was good. Very good.Made it into a banana daiquiri, and a …side by side using the exact same specs and The Real McCoy 3 year white rum, and while not quite the same, it still held up to the comparison well.This "spirit" is very good when you want a mild white rum, think Havana Club Blanco, or Baccardi. It doesn't have the bite that alcohol has, but in mixed drinks that aren't spirit forward, that's not the point anyway.Final verdict? This would absolutely join my light rum go to list, if it was $20 or less. At $49, umm, no.
Was pleasently surprised with this as is simuler to the taste of a myers rum and coke, well over priced for FAKE liquor so i would NOT buy again for that reason, should not be more than the 10.00 a bottle, and untill the price is more inline with a cheap liquor I would never buy again.
We’ve been on the lookout for alcohol-free spirits, but we’re slightly disappointed with this one. It was very sweet, which definitely overpowered the rum taste.
Very good substitute for creating mocktails. 10 out 10 will buy again.
