Details: ABOUT PRIVATE PRESERVE:By observing practices in wineries, the creator of Private Preserve noticed the constant use of inert gas in preserving wine stored in tanks, barrels and carboys to prevent oxidation. He decided to figure out how to bring the benefits of professional wine preservation to the consumer. Through constant testing, he was able to formulate a mixture of inert gases (essentially pure air with no oxygen) to preserve wine inside a bottle which has been uncorked and re-corked, allow the preservation to continue for months and even years. We now we have the essential wine accessory second in importance only to the corkscrew, Private Preserve. HOW IT WORKS:Private Preserve provides a blanket of protection for your opened bottle of wine. This professionally endorsed wine preservation system uses a blend of Argon, CO2 and Nitrogen. DIRECTIONS FOR USE:1) Insert included tube securely into nozzle with a twisting motion. 2) Place the tip of the tube into the neck of the bottle midway down and against the glass. 3) Have cork or stopper ready on top of bottle resting against the tube. 4) Spray for 1/2 of a second and then 4 shorter bursts, both quickly pull the tube out and immediately insert cork or stopper into the bottle (for 750 ml bottle). Store upright.**Remember in order to keep your wine fresh, you have to seal your wine bottles with a stopper.

Purchased this to extend the life of opened wine bottles with inert gas. There are lots of wine inerting systems for home use that work well, but at substantially higher cost and the need to exchange high pressure gas cylinders. I've found this an easy to use, effective and a good value. One problem - the thin tubes did not mount correctly in the spray nozzle- had to super-glue one toprevent it from popping off during use. Also, I'd suggest a tight fitting stopper of rubber, etc - not the cork th

Easy to use only one or two shots

I use this with my vermouth, and it keeps it perfectly preserved! I always have to have a bottle on hand. You do have to be careful, since it does feel empty even when full. That said, once you finally do run out, it's pretty obvious, so there's no risk of accidentally not preserving your bottle of wine. I won't be buying anything else!

Bought this to help store opened beverage bottles. I heard it was light weight but I didn't realize it was this light. First day I used it on about 20 bottles. After about 30 uses, still going strong so don't be surprised. if you purchase this, it will be light but still very useful.

Keeps wine tasting good for days after opening.

This is not a competitor to a professional nitrogen wine bar. But if you want to finish that bottle tomorrow ar a few days, this is it.Only complaint is there is nothing in the can (NO FLAVORS either) that indicates when it is full or empty, you cannot tell by shaking. Keep an eye on the surface of the wine in the bottle to watch for waves is how I can tell when it's empty. But this is my fourth or fifth order, so I obviously like it.Ps, raised a wine snob on Grand Cru Class European wines.

I like tat it works. I’m the only wine drinker in the house, and it usually takes me three sittings to finish a bottle. If I re-cork it after each pour, using the Private Reserve system, the third pour is easily as good as the first pour

Product works great but the straws will not seat firmly. This is virtually a three handed operation, as no matter how tightly I tried to affix the straw, it would fly out on the first spray of gas. You have to hold the straw while spraying and manage to some how handle the cork as well.Update: I wrote to customer service on the weekend and received a response the same evening. They’ve apparently had some supplier issues with the straws. They immediately mailed me two straws of the appropriate

I used it with a bottle of 2018 Malbec. We drink a lot of this and it lasts 3-4 days with only minimal degradation using a vacuum pump system. After 3 days with the gas, it started to develop the odor and taste of acetone, and the next day it was undrinkable.

I have used a couple bottles of this without any issue. You do have to be careful with the pressure, it might be nice if that was easier to control. Maybe it's not an issue with wine though, I use it to cap off concentrated nicotine that I use for making tobacco-cessation products.
