Purefold 40 Ounce Glass Carafe with Drip-Free Stainless Steel Lid, Ice Tea Pitcher, Juice jar, Tea & Coffee Maker, Perfect Drinkware for Hot and Cold Water Pitcher
We make cold brew tea and needed a carafe to keep it in. This carafe looks pretty and functions beautifully! I wash it by hand with a soft bottle brush but I’m pretty sure it would be fine in the dishwasher.

I got this carafe a few weeks ago and I've been really happy with it so far. I most use it for cold-brewing tea as seen in the photo, at which task it excels. It's made of borosilicate glass, which is fairly uncommon in the US, (mostly we get soda lime glass), and it's a noticeable difference; I had to tap it a few times to make sure it wasn't plastic as it just felt a bit lighter than I was expecting. The instructions that came with it claim that borosilicate glass has greater thermal shock re…sistance than the more common soda lime glass, so to test it I poured some boiling water directly into it, without consequence. I probably won't need to do that very often, but it's neat that it can resist that amount of thermal shock. (Apparently soda lime glass *might* be slightly more break-resistant, so, y'know, try not to drop it [as you would with any glass item].)The stopper that comes with it is also nice, being made of elegant brushed stainless steel and black silicone. The flip-up lid doesn't seal, so don't rely on it for that, but the silicone makes a nice seal around the rim that keeps the stopper from going anywhere when you tip it over to pour (though don't try using it as a handle). All in all I'm quite pleased with this carafe, and it'll look quite nice on my table the next time guests come over.

Not for kids. Need a brush with handle to clean.

Solid, well made, does the job.

It can withstand high heat you just have to use a potholder because it gets real hot.

Pros: Solid, leak proof, and sturdy glass. Hinged lid keeps dust out. We haven't tested the heat proof abilities yet, as we've mostly been using this as a water carafe.Cons: would be great to have the option for a bigger size, like 50 - 64 oz. This is fine for a nightstand, small family or a couple of people. Parties will need to look elsewhere.

We use this to get filtered water out of our fridge, and easily pour it into our coffee maker, which used to be a messy job, as the water reservoir is so far to the back. The carafe looks really pretty left out next to our Krups coffee pot, and holds just enough water to fill the pot.
