Have had this for awhile now. It keeps our wine and other drinks appropriately chilled. I have no complaints!

Cheese aging needs a constant temperature and humidity around 54 degrees, so wine coolers are pretty perfect for those of us who don't have access to actual caves/industrial facilities. This wine cooler is doing a stellar job - I can fit about 9 2lb wheels in it at once, and it holds the temp and humidity nicely. I replaced the wire racks with glossy porcelain tile (for easier sanitizing vs plywood) - if anyone else is doing this, be aware that the shelves taper slightly toward the back. 6 7/8"… x 12" works well (get cheap 12x24 tiles and a snap cutter, and cut 3 shelves from each tile).

Quiet low noise. Hardly know it’s in the same room. Holds temperature stable with a short defrost cycle daily which lasts for about 15 minutes. It’s that during the defrost cycle, the temperature will appear to rise but only for a short period of time.

This unit is very effective and nicely designed. Some comments relating to other reviews. Some reviewers have mentioned that the unit is wobbly. Please note that all four legs are adjustable, and each one can be raised or lowered by twisting the leg clockwise or counterclockwise. So out of the box, my unit was wobbly too. After adjustment, it is rock solid. Unlike some reviewers, I've never had a problem with the unit icing up. I've never had that issue. I keep my unit at 58 degrees; perhaps ic…ing is a problem only with far lower temperature settings. As at least one reviewer has noticed, the temperature display light is bright. It's not an issue in daytime. At night, just cover it up. I took one of the three-sided wedges used in shipping to protect the unit from damage and cut away one side. It makes a very effective L-shaped cover for the light to block the light at night. There have also been complaints about the noise, which surprises me. It's a very quiet unit. Sure, if I am standing next to the unit, I can hear it. But in another room, no. It's not bothersome at all; certainly my air conditioner is far, far louder than this unit. I'm surprised also that some reviewers have complained about the unit not being big enough to hold bottles. This unit has plenty of space to hold standard-size wine bottles, and even wine-bottles that are taller than the norm.

Unit works as expected. It is in a third floor area that does get a bit warmer. We keep it set to 64 degrees and it holds steady even when the room gets to 90-95 degrees. Pretty impressive performance for an inexpensive unit. We do not prefer our wine to cold but rather like our cellar temp. So, it has been great and saves us many steps to the cellar to retrieve a bottle of nectar.Ethan

Schmecke 12 bottle wine cellar compressor I purchased on 03/08/23, as far as I know, worked without any complaint, the apparence looks nice, not noisy and the temperature set up is easy. I hope and wish the schmecke cellar cooler will be good for long way to come.

Have only had it for less than a week, but it seems to be a very good wine fridge. It came packaged very well, and it's holding the temp at 55°. Very happy with this purchase so far.
