Sprecher LOW-CAL ROOT BEER - "Sprechen macht schlank!", 16-Ounce Glass Bottle (Pack of 12)

I hate diet soda, so when I found out I had type 2 diabetes I was pretty depressed, as I drink alot of soda pop. All the diet drinks I was recommended as "you can't tell they are diet" turned out to be advise from people without taste buds. I can tell. Enter Sprecher Low-Cal. I have always thought that Sprecher made the best root beer out there so I gave the low-cal version a try. I'm not going to sit here and lie to you and say it is as good as the regular version, it's not. It is however bett…er than alot of the regular root beers out there. There is no after taste. You could have served it to me and I would not have known it was a diet beverage. One more thing you should know, it is not a zero calorie drink. There is about 30 calories and 8 carbs in a 16oz bottle. You might not want to drink it everyday, but with those low numbers, a dieter or diabetic can surely fit this in as an occasional treat.

If you like the taste of a great root beer but want less calories, this is it. You get both. I've tried the original (high caloric) and find this to be a great alternative without losing any of the great taste. Recommended for root beer lovers.
