Great product, too bad i cant find locally !
I ordered The Bitter End Moroccan Cocktail Aromatic Bitters to use in a specific cocktail (recipe below), to be served with a Moroccan dinner party. I had never tried them before, but the ingredients on the bottle definitely sounded Moroccan, so I had high hopes. And those hopes were ridiculously, wonderfully, AMAZINGLY exceeded. I'm so in love with these bitters. Aside from the official Moroccan cocktail, I've been using them in the traditional Old Fashioned, replacing Angostura bitters, for… a lovely twist on an old favorite. As with any bitters, the flavor is super concentrated, so don't let tasting straight from the dropper make you panic. The first ingredient is cayenne pepper. I dropped 2 drops on my tongue when they arrived, just to taste, and it was super spicy. I like spicy, but if you have an aversion to too much spice, don't let this dissuade you.It literally just takes 4 to 5 drops in an entire cocktail, so that spice gets diluted and is barely perceptible in the finished product. As with all Moroccan flavors, the multiple spices are very complex and delicious and can go with a variety of flavors. I just added a few drops to some homemade smoky butternut squash soup and it was lovely. You can taste the cayenne, cardamom, cinnamon, coriander, cumin, ginger, spearmint, and the dried lemon peel SINGS with flavor, and brings all the others together. These bitters are spicy, aromatic and so wonderful in anything from a Manhattan to something more creative! A necessity for my home bar from now on!!
Crazy expensive. Worth every cent! The flavor is intense and fabulous (if you like those flavors).
